Most repair work falls in the range of $65 per hour, plus materials. Materials cost fluctuate, so those are quoted at the time of the job.

There is a $50 minimum shop charge, even for small repairs- that covers setup time and equipment use.

Rates may be higher for rush or expedited jobs, particularly complex, dirty, or difficult repairs, or jobs requiring unusual materials, prep, or technique. I’m happy to look at photos or the piece itself and send an estimate before starting.

I don’t hold a current AWS certification. I have an Associate’s degree in Welding Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology and have welded to code and inspection standards, including pressure vessel and boiler work early in my career.

Most professional shops rely on practical testing and inspection, not just certifications. If a project requires a specific code or qualification, I’m happy to discuss it up front.
